I wanted to share why there are currently no new videos and why projects have been put on hold for the past month. I am dealing with a severe burnout and I am physically completely exhausted with no energy left.
I always underestimated how much I could handle with work, private life, and the children until I was hit hard. After four difficult weeks of recovery, heart palpitations, and broken sleep, I am slowly taking the time to heal before returning to new builds.
Steps
Step 1: Explaining the lack of new videos
I have not posted any new videos for a month and had to put many projects on hold. The pure reason for this is that I am dealing with a burnout and sitting at home.
Step 2: Experiencing burnout and memory loss
I am physically completely drained with no energy left at all. Furthermore, my memory is failing me, which is a very strange sensation since I normally know everything about tech and built my entire battery system and wrote the programs myself. Now, looking right at the battery, I do not understand it anymore.
Step 3: Asking for viewer patience
I always try to share the good and positive things with you, but in this case, I also want to share the less positive ones. I have not stopped making content, but I need to put things on hold to work on myself, come to rest, and slowly get back on track. I hope you will not immediately unfollow me, but rather wait until I have recovered so we can make many more projects together in the future.
Step 4: The sudden onset of the crash
I always underestimated it and thought I could keep going infinitely with work, private life, and children combined. I did not see it coming until I was at work and was hit by the metaphorical big iron hammer that struck the ground and left my head unable to function properly.
Step 5: Coping with physical and mental symptoms
I suffer from a lack of energy, poor focus, difficulty thinking, and forgetfulness where things told to me are forgotten ten minutes later. I also experienced heart palpitations and nights lying awake, sleeping for an hour and then waking up for half an hour repeatedly. I have taken medication to get through the nights, resulting in four very difficult weeks behind me.
Step 6: Gradual recovery and future plans
We are slowly moving in the right direction now with days where the mental fog lifts a bit for some better days followed by downs in an ups and downs pattern. I need to find myself again and hope for your understanding during this difficult phase. Once I am better, I will continue with videos, as I already have enough rare ideas at home for what I need to build next.
Step 7: Takeaways
Burnout can happen suddenly and completely drain your energy and technical comprehension.
Ignoring stress and overworking across work, family, and personal life catches up eventually.
Taking time off to rest and recover is essential when facing severe mental and physical exhaustion.
Looking forward to recovery
I hope to see you all again in the future videos once I have fully recovered and am ready to build again.
